Britney Bautista is a Filipino-American director and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, New York. 
Throughout her artistic journey, Britney explores different genres of film including narrative, documentary, dance, and fashion. Apart from her work as a director and editor, she is extremely passionate about cinematography and has taken the role of DP on a multitude of short films, branded content, and documentaries. 
She recently graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Film/Video. In addition to her 8+ years of film education and experience, Britney also has a background in performing arts, photography, and graphic design.
Impassioned by the power of filmmaking, Britney aims to send a message to her viewers and spread awareness about a certain social or political issue through her unique, emotional storytelling. Furthermore, Britney hopes to empower young women like herself and give a voice to Asian American women who are often underrepresented in the film industry. Filipino culture, anthropology, and feminism are all recurring themes within Britney's work. 
Her work has won many awards and has been screened at festivals/theaters throughout the US, including AMC Theater Times Square and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in California. She is a winner of Dolby Digital's Finish The Script Competition and a recipient of the 2021 Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship and the 2019 Gordon Parks Foundation Scholarship. 
She is currently freelancing as a DP and Director in the NJ/NYC area.
