Britney is a Filipina-American director based in NYC who creates art rooted in purpose. Between anecdotes of Asian heritage, intergenerational differences, and earnest depictions of womanhood, Britney tells stories that challenge tradition and reframe our worldview.
Her distinct, philanthropic directing style is characterized by over 8 years of experience in both documentary and narrative filmmaking. After graduating from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Film/Video in 2023, she ventured into directing and DPing other forms of video, including fashion films, commercials, and music videos.
Britney’s work is fueled by her dedication to uplift marginalized and underrepresented communities. Blending elements of realism with playfulness, Britney unpacks heavy subject matter with tinges of satire, ushering viewers through a nuanced emotional landscape. Through inclusive, purpose-driven artistry, Britney uses filmmaking to shape futures, initiate social change, and give back to her community.
Her work has been screened at theaters throughout the US, including Brooklyn Academy of Music, Village East by Angelika, and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
